At SPORTIME Pickleball Westbury and Englewood, we welcome educators, faculty and other staff personnel and thank you for your work with our upcoming generation of - hopefully - picklers! The Sprout Society, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering peer-to-peer support for mental wellness, recently hosted a successful pickleball fundraiser at SPORTIME Pickleball Westbury. The event featured open play pickleball and brought together community members to raise awareness and funds for mental health, addiction recovery, and emotional resilience.

A highlight of the event was the appearance of special guest Tanner Tomassi, a professional pickleball player known for his explosive play. Based in Delray Beach, Florida, Tomassi has competed in numerous professional tournaments and is recognized as a rising star in the pro pickleball scene. 

Tomassi is a prominent content creator in the pickleball community. He shares daily, bite-sized coaching tips on social media platforms, including Instagram (@tanner.pickleball), amassing over 108,000 followers. His short-form videos offer practical advice to help players improve their game.

The fundraiser at SPORTIME Pickleball Westbury not only provided an opportunity for participants to engage in the sport but also supported The Sprout Society's mission to ensure that no one has to face mental health challenges or life's hardships alone. Through peer-based services available both online and in person, The Sprout Society continues to build a compassionate, supportive environment for individuals seeking connection and healing.
